A whole house fan is a ventilation and cooling system that uses far less energy than a traditional air conditioner.
This energy-efficient system works by pulling cool, outdoor air into your home and out your attic vents. Over time, this process creates Thermal Mass Cooling which allows the mass of your home to be cooled, not just the ambient air.
Since it is typically cooler at night than during the day, you simply have to open a few windows during the evening, night or morning, and our Whole House Fan will cool and ventilate the entire home. Our Whole House Fans can exchange the entire air in a home every 3-4 minutes or 15-20 time per hour.
HOW IT WORKS
REASON 1: SAVE UP TO 50-90% ON A/C RELATED COSTS
• The EPA reports that indoor air quality may be 2-5 times more polluted than outdoor air
quality
• The American Medical Association reports that indoor air quality is directly
responsible for up to 1/3 of our national health bill
• Eliminates top causes of indoor air pollution such as VOC gases and toxins from the home
by adding “active ventilation”
• Completes an air exchange every 3-4 minutes, making a healthier home.
• Combine with a PollenTec Screen to eliminate 99% of all dust, allergens, and pollens
• Eliminates kitchen and bathroom odors
WHEN TO RUN YOUR QUIETCOOL FOR IMPROVED INDOOOR AIR QUALITY:
Run the system anytime the outside air quality is “good”. Outdoor air quality is easy to monitor in
real-time reports by visiting www.airnow.gov or by checking your local weather station app. You can
also view www.pollen.com for real-time reports and forecasts regarding pollens and allergens. As long
as the outside air quality is “good” you only need run the fan for 3-4 minutes for a complete air
exchange. This means you can run it regardless of the outside temperature – to quickly flush your home.
There is no better solution for the IAQ problem than running a complete air exchange with a QuietCool.
We recommend doing that at least twice per week for a happy and healthy home.
• Reduces A/C usage up to 50-90%
• Keeps your home cooler so you use your A/C less frequently
• Saves your A/C from unnecessary usage and more frequent repairs
WHEN TO RUN YOUR QUIETCOOL FOR OPTIMAL SAVINGS:
Run the system anytime the outside temperature is cooler than the inside temperature – typically when
you get home from work in the evenings or in the early morning. You can run the fan on high for just a few
minutes to exhaust the heat from the attic and then shift into the low setting to run throughout the night.
REASON 2: VENTILATION AND INDOOR AIR QUALITY (IAQ) IS CRUCIAL FOR A HEALTHY HOME
REASON 3: BETTER COOLING AND MORE COMFORT
• QuietCool breeze has a 10 ºF cooling effect on your skin
• Instantly feels 5-10 ºF cooler
• Constant and steady airflow
• Balances upstairs and downstairs temperature
WHEN TO RUN THE QUIETCOOL FOR COOLING AND COMFORT:
Run your Whole House Fan in accordance with your personal preference. Every person is different but
typically around 75 ºF is when it is perfect for whole home cooling. No matter what your preference may
be, your QuietCool Whole House Fan will offer you a steady flow of airflow that allows you to feel instantly
5-10 ºF cooler and will keep your home cooler longer than traditional A/C units.
